Terms of Service

Last updated:11 September 2026

Please read these Terms carefully before booking or attending a session with us.

1. Who We Are and What These Terms Cover

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to anyone ("you", "your") who books, purchases, or attends any service offered by The Salty Sanctuary ("we", "us", "our"), including Pilates, osteopathy, facials, breathwork, and TMJ release (together, the "Services"), whether booked through our website (www.thesaltysanctuary.com), Cliniko, by phone, or in person, and delivered at Light Centre, 151 Clapham High St, London SW4 7SS, or any other location we specify.

By booking or attending a session, you agree to these Terms. These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and our Health Liability Waiver & Informed Consent.

Our Services are intended for users 18 years of age or older, unless a session is specifically offered for a minor with the consent and, where appropriate, attendance of a parent or guardian.

[If The Salty Sanctuary is a registered company, add your registered company name, number, and registered office address here.]

2. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, prices, or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continuing to book or attend sessions after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Nothing in this section affects your right, where the law provides it, to rely on the Terms that applied at the time of an existing booking or purchase.

3. Bookings, Cancellations, and No-Shows

  • Bookings are made through Cliniko, by phone, or in person, and are confirmed once payment or a valid payment method is on file.

  • Treatment Cancellation Notice: We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment for a treatment including Osteopathy, Massage, TMJ release, Facials.
Cancellations made with less notice, or missed appointments ("no-shows"), will be charged at 100% of the session fee.

  • Class Cancellation Notice: We ask for at least 12 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a Pilates or Breathwork class. Cancellations made with less notice or no show will be charged 100% of the fees.

  • Membership cancellation: Monthly Memberships can be cancelled at any time and will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds will be issued.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a session (for example, due to practitioner illness), in which case we will offer you the next available appointment or a full refund for that session.

  • Late arrival will result in a shortened session at the full session rate, at the practitioner's discretion, to avoid delaying other clients.

4. Payments

The price for each Service will be confirmed at the time of booking or purchase. Prices may change, but any confirmed booking will be charged at the agreed price.

Payment must be made using the payment method available at the time of booking or purchase. Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe or SumUp.

Packages, courses, memberships and subscriptions are subject to the terms provided at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next renewal date. You authorise us to take the applicable payment until the subscription is cancelled or ends.

We may suspend or terminate access to paid Services where payment is not made or these Terms are breached.

5. Health Information and Informed Consent

Some of our Services involve physical activity or hands-on treatment, including Pilates, osteopathy, facials, breathwork and TMJ release.

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your health, medical history, medications, allergies, injuries, pregnancy and any other relevant conditions when requested. You must tell us if your circumstances change or if you are unsure whether a Service is suitable for you.

Before hands-on treatment, your practitioner will explain the proposed treatment and obtain your consent. You may ask questions, decline any part of the treatment or withdraw your consent at any time.

For Pilates and other physical activity, you are responsible for working within your own capabilities and stopping if you experience pain, discomfort or feel unwell. You should only take part if you are in good physical health and seek appropriate medical advice if you are unsure whether a Service is suitable for you.

When taking part in online, pre-recorded, live or home-based Services, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a safe and suitable space and equipment for the activity. This includes an area clear of any obstacles that could impede your movement and on a flat surface.

We are not responsible for injury or loss arising from your use of our Services, except where caused by our negligence or where we are otherwise legally responsible.

Our Health Liability Waiver document forms part of these Terms and contains further information about health, treatment and participation.

6. Osteopathy — Regulatory Standards

Our osteopathy service is provided by a practitioner registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), the statutory regulator of osteopaths in the UK, and is delivered in line with the GOsC's Osteopathic Practice Standards. Nothing in these Terms overrides those professional obligations, including record-keeping, confidentiality, and duty of care requirements.

7. Your Conduct

When using or receiving any of our Services, whether in person or online, you agree to:

  • treat our practitioners, staff and other clients respectfully and not behave in a threatening, abusive or unsafe manner;

  • not attend a treatment, appointment, class or session if you are under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs to the extent that this could affect your safety or the safety of others;

  • use our website, booking system, online services and materials only for their intended and lawful purpose;

  • not copy, reproduce, share, distribute or commercially use our content, videos, exercise guidance or other materials without our permission; and

  • not attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, damage or disrupt our website, booking system, online services or any related systems.

We may refuse or end a session, appointment or class, cancel a booking, or decline future bookings where we reasonably consider that your behaviour or circumstances create a safety, security or other reasonable risk.

8. Online Memberships

We offer online membership plans that provide access to our live & pre-recorded digital content and services.

Monthly memberships renew each month and annual memberships renew each year until cancelled. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for recurring payments.

You may cancel your membership at any time. Unless otherwise required by law, cancellation will prevent future renewals but will not refund amounts already paid.

9. Free Trial

Where offered, a free trial is available to new customers only and is limited to one trial per person.

Unless cancelled before the trial ends, your chosen membership will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the price and billing frequency shown when you signed up.

You can cancel your membership at any time before the end of the free trial to avoid being charged. Cancellation will take effect in accordance with the cancellation process provided when you sign up.

11. Subscriptions, Service Availability & Changes

Where our Services are provided by subscription, your subscription will operate according to the terms and payment arrangements applicable at the time you subscribe.

We aim to provide our Services as described when you book or subscribe. However, availability may vary and we cannot guarantee that our website, booking systems, online services or video sessions will always be available or free from interruption or technical issues.

We may make reasonable changes to our Services, including their content, format, availability or method of delivery, where necessary to operate or improve them. Where a change materially affects a service you have already paid for, we will take reasonable steps to notify you where appropriate.

12. Username, Password, Security & Access to Services

Where access to any of our Services requires an account, username or password, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and must not share them with anyone else. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account or login details have been accessed or used without your permission.

Your access to our Services is personal to you and must not be transferred, shared, sold or otherwise provided to another person unless we have agreed to this in advance.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, booking systems, online services or any related systems, or interfere with their security or operation.

13. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in our Services and materials, including our website, content, exercise guidance, treatment plans, programmes, videos, images, documents, branding and trade names, belongs to The Salty Sanctuary, Paige Kern, or our licensors.

You may use these materials only for your own personal and lawful use. You must not copy, reproduce, record, modify, distribute, share, publish, sell or commercially use any of our materials without our prior written permission.

All rights not expressly granted to you under these Terms are reserved by us.

14. Liability

We take the safety and wellbeing of our clients seriously and carry appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • You are responsible for providing accurate health information and following reasonable guidance given to you. We cannot be responsible for harm arising from information you have failed to disclose or from your failure to follow appropriate guidance.

  • For Pilates classes specifically, you take part at your own risk in relation to ordinary exertion and exercise-related discomfort, provided the class has been delivered with reasonable care and skill.

  • Our Services are provided with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot guarantee any specific result for treatment, health or fitness.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

15. Communications

By booking or attending a session, you agree to receive booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and other service-related communications by email, SMS, or phone — these are necessary to deliver the Services and are not optional.

We will only send you marketing communications where you have separately opted in to receive them (for example, by ticking a marketing consent box at sign-up or checkout). You can withdraw this consent and opt out of marketing at any time; doing so will not affect appointment-related messages.

16. Governing Law & Complaints

If you have a complaint or dispute regarding our Services, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can understand and seek to resolve the issue. We will consider your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe and, where appropriate, work with you in good faith to reach a fair resolution.

If we are unable to resolve a complaint directly, you may wish to contact Citizens Advice or Trading Standards for further guidance.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute relating to them or to our Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. General

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or regulator to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Health Liability Waiver & Informed Consent, represent the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Services, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
